Core Returns

DTech does not charge up-front core fees when you purchase DTech exchange products.(1)  Instead you have 60 days to return the core to us without any core charge or penalty.  Customers will receive a core statement twice a month, on or about the 15th and the last day of the month. The statement will show, by part number, the dates and quantities of exchange product purchased and applicable core returns.  Cores and be returned ahead of purchase in order for a customer to build up a "bank."

Returned cores must meet the standards described in the Core Return Criteria section below.

Customers with past due (over 60 days from purchase) core balances will have their accounts placed on “Core Hold”.  This means DTech exchange product will not be shipped to the customer until outstanding past due core balances are caught up. The customer may, at the discretion of DTech, be invoiced the applicable core fee(s) for cores not returned within the 60 day return period.  We will notify you before any core fee invoice is issued.  Once a core fee invoice is issued, it must be paid as we will not be able to accept returned cores against the invoice.  Applicable core fees will be the core fee shown on the most current DTech price list.

Core must be returned using the appropriate core return form, which can be found below.  The customer is responsible for paying freight on core returns.  No COD shipments will be accepted.  The core return form includes packaging and shipping information.  If you have any questions regarding cores please contact DTech Customer Service at (800) 648-4720.

(1) Retail customers will be charged applicable core fees at the time of sales and core fee will be refunded when acceptable cores are received.
